Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Shafiqur Rahman said, “I have seen many regimes. But these were not regimes, they were exploitation. God, you are the biggest witness to it. We want honest rulers and we want the rule of the Quran. For this work, you (the Creator) accept the people here.”

The Jamaat Amir said these words while addressing a road meeting in Dakop Upazila of Khulna at around 11:30 am today, Tuesday. The party’s Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar was the special guest at a road meeting at the Chalna Billalia Alim Madrasa Maidan of the upazila, initiated by the Dakop Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami. The Jamaat Amir also said, “The dream was that religion would be established. O Allah, if your religion is established, your servants will be able to serve you wholeheartedly. We beg you for the opportunity of that service. You fill the gap of one scholar with a hundred scholars. You give our Bangladesh the rule of the Quran.’
Shafiqur Rahman, praying for the victims of the Uttara plane crash, said, “Some families are not getting the bodies of their children, nor are they getting them in the hospital; their situation is even more painful. May Allah return them to health. And accept the departed as martyrs.”
The meeting was attended by Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Khulna District Amir Emran Hussain and District Secretary Munshi Mizanur Rahman, Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Khulna Metropolitan Amir Mahfuzur Rahman, Bagerhat District Amir Rezaul Karim and Secretary Sheikh Yunus, Narail District Jamaat Amir Ataur Rahman, Satkhira District Amir Principal Shahidul Islam, Secretary Azizur Rahman, and others. The meeting was presided over by Dakop Upazila Jamaat acting Amir Akhtar Hossain.
